Infield lenses have been developed over the years from technology used in the design of safety eyewear. This high level of eye protection is available now for all. No matter where your chosen sport or leisure activity takes you.

Materials

All Infield safety lenses made from Class 1 optical quality polycarbonate are designed to exceed exacting safety standards. In independent testing, lenses exceed EN impact testing standards (EN 166F) and withstood the impact of a ball bearing fired at over 45 metres per second (100mph). Those lenses which exceed higher impact ratings (EN 166B) have withstood the impact at over 120 metres per second (268mph).

Performance

UV protection is a feature of all Infield lenses, whether clear or tinted and the Infield Polarised lens gives enhanced protection and clarity in high glare situations.

Infield lenses are Class 1 optical quality, giving you optimum clarity without eyestrain whilst the wraparound fit ensures all-round protection and unobstructed peripheral vision.

A standard Infield feature is the Anti-Scratch coating applied to all Infield lenses. A highly-durable coating to reduce scratching and significantly prolong product life.

You can also choose an additional Infield Anti-Fog coating. Helping to reduce fogging of the lens during high humidity situations.

Multicoated mirrored lenses combine style with functionality by reducing light levels of glare.

Clear lens

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170. Optical class 1

Markings: 2 -1,2 or 2C -1,2

Light transmission: 98%

UV -385

Ideally suited for use under normal daylight, indoors or outdoors, also in twilight. 

Allows maximum light transmission without changing your colour perception.

Slate Grey Tint

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170 + EN 172. Optical class 1

Markings: 5 -2,5 

Light transmission: 18%

UV -385

Grey tinted lens that absorbs 82% of visible light. This lens offers protection against glare. 

All colours stay true despite the great light reduction. The most commonly used outdoor lens tint.

Yellow Tint

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170. Optical class 1

Markings: 2 -1,2 

Light transmission: 89%

UV -385

Light yellow tinted lens that filters 87% of blue light. It improves subjective contrasts. 

With outdoor use under diffuse light conditions such as fog or thick cloud, shapes are more easily recognised. For indoor applications it is ideally suited for work or leisure under low light conditions.

This lens can also be used for quality control of surface conditions under UV light.

Orange Tint

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170 + EN 172. Optical class 1

Markings: 2 -1,7

Light transmission: 47%

UV -385

Orange tinted lens that absorbs 53% of visible light. Medium protection against glare. 

The orange lens enhances contrast, sharpens visual perception and reduces eye strain. 

It absorbs 87% of harmful blue light. Ideally suited for medical use, hardening applications under blue light, quality control of all surface types and at work. Perfect for outdoor activities under rapidly changing light conditions.

Silver Mirror

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170 + EN 172. Optical Class 1

Markings: 5 -2,5 

Light transmission: 18%

UV -385

This lens is based on the Slate Grey Tint lens absorbing 82% with true colour recognition. 

The additional mirror coating in silver reflects heat and reduces glare. 

These lenses are ideally suited for outdoor use in strong sunlight.

Gold Mirror

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170 + EN 172. Optical Class 1

Markings: 5 -2,5 

Light transmission: 53%

UV -385

The additional mirror coating reflects heat and reduces glare. 

This lens if often referred to as an ‘Indoor / Outdoor’ lens. The light gold mirror coating is suitable for indoor and outdoor use where a reduced amount of glare protection is acceptable.

Polarised – Grey

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170 + EN 172. Optical class 1

Markings: 5 -2,5 

Light transmission: 18%

The Infield polarised lens has a filter structure which blocks horizontal light waves, whilst allowing vertical light waves through. 

This dramatically reduces the blinding glare from water, glass and other similar reflective surfaces.

Allowing the wearer to see unaltered natural colours without troublesome glare. 

In many cases, the high reduction of the glare permits details to be perceived which otherwise would not be visible due to the troublesome reflections.

UV400 – Orange

Conforms to EN 166 + EN 170 + EN 172. Optical Class 1

Markings: 2 - 1,7 

Light transmission: 44%

UV -400

This orange-red tinted lens filters 100% of UV radiation and blue light. 

Visible light is reduced by 56%. Contrast and depth perception are improved and eye strain reduced. Particularly well suited for use within the medical sector and for those wearers working with equipment generating blue light.
